The Sherring Family Tree

 

 

Welcome to the Sherring Family Tree.

This Sherring family originated in the south of Somerset, near the border with Dorset, and over the centuries spread across both counties, and as far afield as Australia.

The origin of the surname Sherring is not know for sure, but it is generally thought to be a derivation of the name Shearing, a typical countryside occupation.

Currently my Family Tree contains over 10,000 individuals - too many for a single web site. Therefore the main surname groups in the tree have each been given their own web site - see links to them on the 'Links' page.
