Note on Husband: William SHERRING

In 1851 William was living in Ashington with his wife and their 8 children. He was a Cordwainer.

In 1861 William was living at Marston Magna 'Corner' with his wife and children Frederick, George, Ellen , Elizabeth and Arthur. He was a Shoemaker.

In 1871 William was living in Camel Street, Marston Magna with his wife and children Ann, George, Arthur and Ellen. He was a Boot and Shoe Maker.

At the 1881 census William Sherring, his Wife and grandson Arthur Sherring - age 4 (possibly son of Arthur Sherring & Rachel Moore) and grandson Frank Tutton age 14 (son of Eleen), were living at Camel Street, Marston Magna. He was a Boot & Shoe Maker.

Note on Wife: Mary Ann FARMER

In 1871 she is living with her daughter, Sarah and family, in Lillington. She was 76 years old and states she was born in Martock, Somerset.

The grave of William and Mary Anne and their son Henry are in the churchyard of St.Mary's Church, Marston Magna, Yeovil, Somerset.
